Last week

Okay, so to start, an update: we went to the farm on Thursday to visit some friends last week. When we got there, Grace (my friend) and Sam (Joseph's friend), were at soccer camp until noon. When noon came around, we all decided to go up to the hay loft. They showed us the hay forts they had built and a girl named Cathrine and I shared one of the forts while a boy named Pierce and the others shared another. Our fort needed another layer of loose hay, so we went over to the other side were loose hay was. Pierce was swinging, and soon Cathrine was distracted. Because I didn't want to swing, I started walking around on the ground. Soon I heard a sound like a baby bird, and I started walking toward the sound, hoping to see a nest. As I got closer to the sound, I thought, "That's a funny place for a nest!", because it was coming from the ground. When I got right next to the sound, I saw that it wasn't a nest, but a baby bird! then I looked up and saw a nest, so I figured that it must have fallen out of the nest. Unfortunately, the nest was about twenty-five feet up a very straight, flat wall with almost no handholds except for the little board which the nest was on, and there was no way I could return the little bird to its nest (and I didn't want to pick it up in case I hurt it), so I did the next best thing I could think of. I yelled,"Hey guys, come over here now!" When they  (Peirce and Cathrine) came over I said,"I found a baby bird. Pierce, go get Grace. Now, and hurry please." When they came back, Grace in the lead, she scooped up the baby bird and I grabbed a nearby empty blueberry carton and put a little of hay in it, and Grace put the baby bird in it. Then I climbed one handed down the ladder out of the hay loft with the baby bird and we all went to the house. Tamara said that it was hungry, so we all went out to find worms, but I was really the only one who found any. As it got closer to time to go, we started to think about what we were going to do with it. Then we decided to ask Pat (a worker there) to put the bird in its carton as close to the nest as possible. After that happened, go it was time to home.

I think that's all!

Bye!
